Located in historic Mullica Hill, Free To Be Me Preschool is dedicated to providing a fun and educational learning experience for its students in a safe and secure environment that encourages the development and nurture of the whole child. Our teachers are committed to maintaining an intellectually stimulating atmosphere that encourages creativity and good manners, while reinforcing positive behaviors.

We are proud to be an independent center that is not affiliated or associated with any other preschool or learning center. With more than 100 years of combined teaching experience available to our students, it is no wonder we have been a successful preschool for so long.

Certified Teaching Staff

New Jersey State Certified Teachers or those with earned Bachelor's Degrees (minimum) make up our Head Teachers. Our highly qualified instructors help bring innovative ideas into our classrooms and they stay up to date on the latest techniques with professional development classes. For your children's safety, all our teachers undergo child abuse and criminal background checks and carry certifications in:
  • First Aid
  • CPR

We offer:

  • Preschool and Daycare for children ages 6 weeks to Pre- Kindergarten
  • Flexible scheduling
  • Before and After School program for children in Kindergarten to 5th grade.
  • Summer Camp programs with optional field trips (for Kindergarten through 5th grade)

About Our Owner

John Crescenzi became the Owner of Free to Be Me in 2008. John holds a Bachelors degree in Psychology from Temple University and is at our center daily to oversee the needs of the Center, Staff and children.

About Our Director

Lauren Salber
Lauren first came to Free To Be Me Preschool in 1991 as a student, graduated from their Pre-K program, and attended their Big Kid Program through 5th grade. She returned to the school in 2006 as a teacher, and once completing college became Head Teacher for the Pre-K Program. Lauren then became the Director in 2016. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Widener University and is currently pursuing her Masters degree in Social Work. Lauren has always had a passion for working with people, and utilizes her social work skills to best care for the children and families at Free To Be Me Preschool. During the day, Lauren can be found splitting her time between the Office and all classrooms within the school. The Director also assists in skills testing, parent/teacher conference oversight, continued curriculum development, and State Certifications. The owner John and Lauren work very closely together to ensure all aspects of the school are running properly.
